Our church was originally called Family Life Worship Center, and was established in 1963 in Ashland by Rev. O. V. Ingle.  It remained at the the Ashland site through several different pastors, culminating with Pastors John & Cheryl Traub in 1999.  The Traubs could sense that God had something bigger in store for their small church, so they and the congregation prayed.  After being on the market for 7 years, the property in Ashland finally sold in 2013, and in 2014 the move was made to the present facilities in Phoenix, OR.  The name was changed to His Valley, denoting that we were claiming the entire Rogue Valley for Jesus.  Pastor Traub retired in 2015, and our current pastors are Bruce and Alnice Smith.

Pastors Bruce & Alnice Smith came to His Valley in 2017 after resigning their church in Baker City, Oregon.  Pastor Bruce has 41 years of ministry experience and is ordained with the Pentecostal Church of God. He has been on the District Board a total of 28 years and is currently the sectional Presbyter.

He and Alnice have been married for 45 years, with 2 adult children, 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
